Tour itinerary

1. Day: Arrival in Skopje, Macedonia

Flight to Skopje. First part of the city tour is scheduled according to the flight arrival. Agenda includes the highlight of the old town: fortress Kale, church St. Spas, the open grand bazaar. The evening is reserved for a dinner with typical Macedonian cuisine and traditional Macedonian music.

2. Day: Skopje – Stobi – Stip – Berovo

In the morning we explore the New part of City of Skopje. Agenda includes sightseeing of the new buildings around the main Square, Alexander the Great fountain and visit of house of Mother Teresa. Afterwards we go to the wine region near Veles and make the first taste of Macedonian wines. Here we have also lunch. In the afternoon we continue with the trip to our hotel in Berovo, by first stopping for a short visit of the town Shtip.

3. Day: Berovo – Strumica

After breakfast we explore the city of Berovo and its monasteries. Afterwards we visit a sheep farm to taste the famous cheese. We continue to Strumica, where we have the next wine tasting with lunch. In the afternoon we go by a tractor to visit the wine fields. Hotel in Strumica.

4. Day: Strumica – Kavadarci – Strumica

First, we visit the famous waterfalls near Strumica. Then we continue to Kavadarci, one of the most famous wine-regions in North Macedonia. Wine tasting including lunch. In the evening we return in the hotel in Strumica.

5. Day: Strumica – Vergina – Thessaloniki

We pass the border to Greece and visit the archeological site of Vergina. We continue to Thessaloniki for an exciting city tour. In the evening we have an excellent dinner in a traditional Greek tavern.

6. Day: Thessaloniki – Drama

From Thessaloniki we continue our trip to Drama. Agenda for Drama includes wine tasting in unique landscape. In the afternoon we explore the city by foot. Hotel near Drama.

7. Day: Drama – Sandanski – Bansko

We pass the border to Bulgaria. In the region of Sandanski we will have the last wine tasting on this tour. In the afternoon we continue to the Pirin mountains and reach our hotel in Bansko.

8. Day: Bansko – Sofia

Depending of the flight time city tour in Sofia or transfer to the airport.
